As some of you long-time readers may remember, when I wanted to get my start in Boudoir Photography, I decided to have a contest on a local wedding message board called FrugalBride.com
I had a competition and asked everyone who entered for a free boudoir session (including hair and make-up by Tania Beattie from Brides Etc.) to send me their story of why they should be the one to win the free session. Well, I couldn’t pick between three of them so I awarded three free sessions!
Last but certainly not least in the batch of girls from the January Boudoir Marathon is Jennifer who rocked a variety of awesome outfits and looks. We had a lot of fun shooting these, and Jennifer is way more outgoing than she thought she’d be doing her Boudoir pics! Love the sassy school girl uniform which is so fun. You may have seen a few of these pics previously, but I had a few more to add, so I wanted to do an individual post for Jenn.
Presenting the third girl from my January Boudoir Marathon – Sondra was a pleasure to work with and was very photogenic – look at those gorgeous blue eyes! She really exuded a sensual vibe while in front of the camera. Awesome shots Sondra! Coming up – shot from our last January Marathon girl – Jennifer.
Next up – Featured photos from Allie who took part in the January Boudoir Marathon! She had some gorgeous accessories and was lovely to photograph. I had this vision of an aerial view of a pose, and Allie did the pose perfectly. It’s one of my favourite images from the shoot which you can check out below. For those who are interested, the next Boudoir Marathon in February is sold-out, but there one happening on Sunday April 26, 2009 which is now open for registration.
Due to popular demand, I am pleased to announce the Spring Boudoir Marathon taking place Sunday April 26th, 2009. The session will be taking place in a loft studio located in downtown Toronto. To view the studio, please feel free to view samples from our last marathon which took place in January:

For those who are unaware, a Boudoir Marathon is where 4 clients are booked in one day, and therefore the client receives a better deal than if they were to book a full day for their individual session. Also, if you didn’t have a location to use, the rental of the loft studio (usually $100 per session) is also included in the Boudoir Marathon pricing, which is also a big benefit.
The cost for the marathon per client is $500, which includes the following:
- 1 Hour Shoot by Lisa Mark
- Full Hair and Make-Up by Tania Beattie (http://www.bridesetc.ca)
- Loft studio rental included
- As many outfit changes as you want within 1 hour
- 1 Hardcover Photo Book with 25 retouched images of your choice (see below for details)…this book sells for $200 but is included during the Marathon
- All High-Resolution Images on Disc of all images shot, including 25 retouched files of your choice

The book is a hardcover 8.5″ x 11″ with 10 double sided pages (meaning 20 single pages), consisting of 25 fully retouched images of your choice. I will design the book and then e-mail you a PDF for approval before I order it to ensure you’re happy with the end result.

It’s been a while now since I first began shooting Boudoir portraits, and they have become a huge HIT! Thank you again to all the ladies who were lovely and allowed me to share their images with you.
I’ve also conducted Boudoir Marathons, which have also proven to be very popular. As a result, I have redesigned my Boudoir Photography packages for my individual sessions. Please note that these prices are different from Boudoir Marathon pricing which operates separately.
Also, both Packages available supply full hair and make-up services and retouched images on disc in high resolution. In Package A, you even get a gorgeous hardcover photobook of your favourite 25 images, fully retouched to perfection. I switched to hardcover by popular request! You can also add this gorgeous book onto Package B later, but you get a discount of $76 off the book if you go with Package A in advance.

You have the option to include a beautiful hard cover photobook which is 8.5 x 11 inches in size and has 10 double-sided pages (can fit 20 full size images or 25 if some pages are collages). Please note that all 25 images of your choice used in the book will be fully retouched. Additional double-sided pages can be added for $30 per page.
* Payment by cash or cheque is due in full on the day of the session (please make cheques out to Lisa Mark).

Hi guys & girls – just wanted to let you know that I held my first Boudoir Marathon on Sunday January 25th, 2009 and it was a huge success! I’m very happy with the images I was able to create with these lovely ladies and I want to thank them for being amazing Clients. I also want to say thanks for being so cool and allowing me to post their images here and on my website. My next one will be taking place on Feb. 22nd, 2009.
I’m going to be posting shots from each girl’s session so you can see just how original they all are! It really is the girl who creates the look – each has their own individual style which really comes out in these photos.
Andi’s a librarian (and so is her husband) so when she suggested bringing books along as a prop, I thought it was an AWESOME idea! Andi’s going to be giving the photobook included in her Boudoir Marathon Package to her husband for their first anniversary (aww!)

More about the softcover book you’ll receive:
The book is a softcover 8.5″ x 11″ with 10 double sided pages (meaning 20 single pages) and therefore there are about 20 of your favourite images fully retouched and printed in the book. I always ask you to pick a few more than 20 just in case I do a collage on a page or two. I will design the book and then e-mail you a PDF for approval before I order it to ensure you’re happy with the end result.
I had an amazing bride recently who’s Fiance is a guitarist, and so she wanted to incorporate the theme of rock ‘n’ roll into her boudoir shoot as a present for her rockin’ Fiance! She was so much fun to work with – and we did sweet and edgy pics – just goes to show you how different some boudoir shoots can look from others, which is great!
